Supporting Undergrads

In July 2017 John George received a request for a work placement from our CAD technician Adam Maxwell.  Adam is studying Product and Furniture design Ba(hons) at Nottingham Trent.  Whilst John has in-depth 2d CAD design skills, he lacks the 3d skills of being able to create beautiful renders of furniture – so Adam was employed to do this. He started working with us in September and has added tons of value to the design element at John George, working in the office to create beautiful renders and often problem solving with simulations. Adam will be working with us until July, and he has lots that he’ll be teaching John in the mean time! He has been an invaluable asset to the business and we’ve been happy to support his career development and education – it’ll be a sad day when he has to go back to uni.

Here are some of the fab renders Adam has created whilst working for us:

This week has also seen Adam working with another Under Graduate student Hamish Kale  (www.hjkalephotography.weebly.com) who is soon to be studying Photography at Farnborough.  Hamish kindly created some product shots of our wooden fruit bowls – please take a moment to appreciate the artistic water droplets!! We think he did a great job 🙂

Adam has been our first work-experience student and its been a very positive experience for everyone involved – we’d certainly consider more w/ex students in the future!
